How to calculate percentages

X% of a number: multiply the number by the percent, then divide by 100. So 15% of 80 = 80 × 15 ÷ 100 = 12.

A is what percent of B: divide A by B and multiply by 100. So 12 out of 48 = 12 ÷ 48 × 100 = 25%.

Percentage change: subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, multiply by 100. From 200 to 250 = (250 − 200) ÷ 200 × 100 = +25%.
